Parenting Coordinator High Conflict Custody MattersAttorney Melissa Luna has met the criteria to qualify as a Parenting Coordinator pursuant to the Idaho Rule of Family Law Procedure. Such qualification includes completion of a 40 hour mediation training and an additional 20 hours of training related to domestic violence, family law, and child development. A Parenting Coordinator is a qualified impartial person who performs any or all of the following functions: (i) decide certain discretionary issues specified in the order of appointment relating to custody of a minor child; (ii) assist the parties with reaching an agreement to resolve certain custody issues; or (iii) make recommendations to the court and parties. Parenting Coordinators are appointed by the court or agreed upon by the parties.
